Achievement exam: 56+78+75=209/3=69.6 (69.6) 40% =27.8
Pop quizzes: 56+78+75+74+45+86+78+56+78… = 626/9=69.5 (69.5)30%=20.8
Portfolio: 80+90+75+45+80+55+55+70..= 550/8=68.7 (68.7)20% =13.7
Participation: 95+90+75+45+80+70+90+70…= 615/=76.8 (76,8)10%=7.6
Total: 69.9
So you can take the final exam.
Suppose that you get 61 on the final exam.
The passing grade average is calculated in the following way:
Academic Year Average: 69.9 (60%) = 41.9
Final Exam: 61 (40%)= 24.4
Total: 66.3 You pass the prep school.
Note: To be considered as successful, you are expected to have a passing grade of 60 out of 100 and you have to get a minimum of 60 on the final exam.
Suppose you have the same grades which is exampled above Average
Achievement exam: 56+78+75=209/3=69.6 (69.6)40% =27.8
Pop quizzes: 56+78+75+74+45+86+78+56+78… = 626/9=69.5 (69.5)30%=20.8
Portfolio: 80+90+75+45+80+55+55+70..= 550/8=68.7 (68.7)20% =13.7
Participation: 95+90+75+45+80+70+90+70…= 615/=76.8 (76,8)10%=7.6
Total: 69.9
So you can get the final exam.
BUT if you get 59 on the final exam you can’t pass the prep school. You may attend summer school.
